This setting supports the Auto Door option. It should be set to On for machines with an autodoor. Also see M85/86 (Autodoor Open/Close M-codes).
The door will close when Cycle Start is pressed and will open when the program reaches an M00, M01 (with Optional Stop turned on) or M30 and the spindle has stopped turning.
